About

The Hightower Foundation, Inc. (HFI) was founded in June 2017 by Chris and Janecia Hightower as a response to the financial and foundational challenges faced by students at Jones High School and the Florida A&M University Electrical Engineering Technology (EET) program—challenges the Hightowers personally witnessed during their time at both institutions. Originally focused on supporting these students through mentorship, scholarships, and exposure to new opportunities, HFI has since expanded its reach to serve the broader Central Florida community. Today, the foundation is dedicated to empowering youth throughout the region by providing access to resources, educational support, and pathways to success, ensuring that all students—regardless of background—have the tools and opportunities to thrive
